The signatures of the lovers in the house of Juliet sold as works of art. And it’s not like any pictures, but as works from stratospheric value “branded” by none other than Marc Quinn. The words of love written over the years with colored markers by our legendary balcony of Via Cappello, Verona, were carefully taken from the guru of contemporary English and are now available to museums, galleries and rich enthusiasts. The works immediately reached dizzying prices: a large canvas “painted” by tourists is on sale at almost three hundred thousand euro. Other, smaller, have already been purchased for amounts that range from 24 thousand euro for a “framework” that measures eighty centimeters wide and sixty centimeters in height.
It is, so to speak, of those same written against which the City has engaged in a crusade, first strokes of the brush and white paint then coming to murarle.
